 In American high schools, education is not just about what happens inside the classroom. Extracurricular activities and school clubs are a huge part of the experience. As an international student, joining these clubs has been a game-changer for me. Here is why you should get involved:




1. Exploring New Interests 🔍 From Chess Club to Robotics and Art, there is a club for everything! I used these opportunities to explore my passion for technology and engineering outside of my regular periods. It’s a great way to learn new skills without the pressure of grades.




2. Building a Strong Resume for College 🎓 If you plan to stay in the US for university, colleges look at more than just your GPA. They want to see that you were active in your school community. Being a member of a club shows that you have leadership skills and can work in a team.




3. Practicing English in a Fun Way 🗣️ In a club, you talk to students who share your hobbies. This makes practicing English feel natural and less like a lesson. Whether we are discussing a project or just hanging out, my vocabulary improves every time I attend a meeting.
