My First Month as an International Student in a US High School πΊπΈπ
Introduction about myself
Hello everyone! I’m Muhannad, and I recently started a new chapter of my life as a student in an American high school. Being a newcomer in a different country is challenging but also very exciting! Here is a glimpse into my daily routine. π£
1. Early Bird Morning Routine π π
My day starts very early. As a Muslim, I wake up at 5:00 AM for the Fajr prayer. It’s a peaceful way to start the day. After that, I head to the kitchen for a healthy breakfast—usually eggs and milk π³π₯—to give me energy for the long day ahead. At 7:01 AM sharp, I catch my school
.
2. My School Subjects: Engineering & More ⚙️π
The first period is Engineering! I’ve loved engineering since I was a little kid, so this is my favorite part of the day. The second period is English, where I work hard to improve my skills.
I also have Gym and Volleyball sessions π. I love these classes because I have great friends there who always support me. Since English is my second language, their help means a lot to me!π€.
3. Challenges and Social Life π«π₯
It’s not always easy. In some periods, I don't have many friends yet, so I focus on doing my homework to pass the time π.
Lunchtime is a different story! π I meet up with many friends and mates. We enjoy wandering around the school corridors and just hanging out. It’s a lot of fun! My seventh period is also amazing because the whole class has a great "vibe," and we all get along so well ✨.
The last period is Math. It’s a bit tough because I feel the teacher focuses more on the girls than the boys, but I’m lucky to have two good friends in that class to talk to π.
4. Heading Home & Resting π π€
When school ends, I take the bus back home, following the same routine: sitting quietly and listening to my favorite audio to relax π. By 4:00 PM, I’m finally home. I usually feel exhausted from the hard work and the language barrier, so I take a long nap.
I usually wake up around 6:00 or 7:00 PM (by coincidence! π) to finish any remaining homework before dinner. After a good meal, it's straight back to bed to prepare for another day. π΄
